James Messer
President, CEO, and Co-Founder
As President and CEO of Transverse, Jim is responsible for the strategic vision, direction, and day-to-day leadership of the company. Drawing from his experience spanning the fields of management, sales, business development and regulatory policy, Jim has established Transverse as the telecom industry's first BSS solution that is built entirely using the latest software architectures built on an open source foundation.

Prior to co-founding Transverse, Jim spent 15 years in various sales and management roles worldwide at leading telecommunications software industry companies. His experience includes serving as Vice President of Sales for LHS Communications Systems, Vice President of Sales for Sema Group, plc and Vice President of Federal Programs at Schlumberger. Jim also served in management positions at CSG Systems, US Telecom Advanced Telecom Systems, TechnoCom Wireless, and on the staff of former U.S. Senate Leader Bob Dole specializing in the areas of telecommunications, IT and foreign policy.

Chris Couch
Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder
Chris Couch, COO, is a pioneer in the telecom software market. As one of the co-founders of Transverse, Chris was instrumental in establishing the company's business model. He launched the product design of the blee(p) platform and spearheaded the selection and integration of best-of-breed open source projects to integrate with blee(p) to form both the blee(p) Enterprise and On Demand SaaS service offerings. Drawing from his experience spanning the fields of marketing, business development, product development, and management, Chris spends every day driving the open source model through every aspect of work at Transverse, from the tools and applications used internally, to perfecting the Transverse solution as the telecom industry's first carrier-friendly BSS solution.

Prior to co-founding Transverse, Chris spent 16 years focused on telecommunications software solutions, serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at ACE*COMM Corporation (NASD:ACEC), Chief Technology Officer at RateIntegration, Inc., consulting practice leader at American Management Systems and Logica, and as a wireless software designer and engineer at Evolving Systems (NASD: EVOL), whose products were sold through Lucent Technologies.



Larry Darveau
Vice President Sales and Co-Founder
Larry Darveau, VP Sales, brings to Transverse over 25 years of sales and sales management experience in the telecommunications infrastructure and BSS/OSS marketplace. He has collaborated closely with the other co-founders to define the Transverse open source model, and to develop a sales strategy that educates and informs customers about the benefits of open source in the telecommunications back office.

Larry has worked closely, on a global basis, with most all of the world's Tier One Carriers as well as large and complex partner organizations. He has served in leadership positions with market leaders such as Deutsche Telekom Consulting, Harris Corp., and TRW. Mr. Darveau has deep expertise in the Billing, Mediation, and OSS markets, having managed or worked in sales and partner sales organizations with companies such as US Telecom Advanced Technology Systems (now CSG) LHS Communications Systems, Sema Group, TeleSciences, and ACE*COMM.
